My name is Siddharth Bhansali and I am writing to you as a citizen growing increasingly insecure about my rights online, my freedom of expression and the use and collection of my personal information.

As you may have heard already, the Indian government is in the process of implementing a central monitoring system which will give it unprecedented ability to intercept any kind of electronic transmission. What this means, is that every email, chat, download and even website visited can be tracked and stored for an undefined period of time.
